Theo Clarke MP for Stafford was delighted to speak about female entrepreneurs and women in business leadership at the Midlands Engine Quarterly Economic Briefing. As someone who has founded their own business, Ms Clarke was pleased to share her experiences and she continues to encourage women to become entrepreneurs. Ms Clarke also raised the importance of having women in leadership roles across Staffordshire.
The Midlands Engine event marked the launch of a report on women in business leadership in the Midlands. The research aims to better understand the current representation of women on boards and women-owned businesses in the Midlands region.
Theo Clarke MP for Stafford:
I want to thank the Midlands Engine team for their recent report on women in business and highlighting this important issue. I will continue to do all I can both in Stafford and Westminster to encourage women to become entrepreneurs, as well as working to remove any obstacles that may be preventing women from joining boards. The Midlands Engine does a great job in promoting the Midlands as a fantastic place to do business and I would like to encourage businesses to take that next step expanding your business by starting to export across the world.
