Theo Clarke MP for Stafford was pleased to take part in the Stafford Borough Council Community Awards at Rising Brook Community Church in Stafford. The awards ceremony celebrated unsung heroes across the Stafford Borough. The awards categories included: Community Action, Environmental Improvement, Social Wellbeing and Local Hero as well as an award to recognise sporting achievements in the borough.
Ms Clarke was delighted to give out the award for the community action category which had many fantastic nominations including the COVID 19 Vaccination Centre – Staffordshire Showground, Hearts and Hands, Eccleshall Cares, Period Power, AEDdonate, Stafford Welcomes Refugees, Silkmore Support Group - Help in the Community, Tiger Bowl Stafford - Project Victory and Terrace, Weston Road Academy - Pupil Voice Project, Walking Streets and The Rotary Club of Stone and District. Ms Clarke presented the award to the winners Period Power. Ms Clarke congratulated all the winners and nominees recognised at the awards for the amazing work they have been doing across Stafford.
