During Mental Health Awareness Week, Theo Clarke MP for Stafford updated her Parliamentary colleagues, including the Chancellor, on her campaign to improve mental health provision across Staffordshire at a reception at No 11 Downing Street. Ms Clarke spoke about the work of the Stafford Mental Health Network and its covenant which she helped create. Ms Clarke thanked the Chancellor for hosting this event at Downing Street ahead of the Queen’s Speech.
Ms Clarke launched the Stafford Mental Health Network with Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in 2020 to help local residents and organisations with their mental health. In February 2022, Ms Clarke with the Network created the Stafford Mental Health Covenant which she encouraged a number of local organisations to sign up to. Ms Clarke continues to work locally and in Parliament to improve people’s mental health.
