Following her Westminster Hall debate in Parliament on tackling flooding in Staffordshire with Rebecca Pow MP, Minister in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Theo Clarke MP for Stafford welcomes the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs’ announcement that Staffordshire is to get extra funding to tackle flooding.
The Staffordshire project aims to improve the resilience of flooding in Staffordshire through a variety of activities, including developing new cutting-edge technology to forecast and map flood events, as well as CCTV monitoring in high risks areas, helping to boost community resilience through an easier accessible web platform.
Earlier this week Theo Clarke MP also met with the Environment Agency to discuss plans for Stafford in relation to this funding and tackling flooding in the constituency including Sandon Road.
