Theo convened and hosted the 'Global' tent along with the British Foreign Policy Group and the Legatum Institute at the Big Ideas Festival on the 31st August 2019. The Festival is one the UK's largest non-party debate forum's which brings together politicians, policy experts and the public to discuss and showcase innovative solutions to both local, national, political and economic problems and renewal.
Theo chaired a panel of experts and politicians, including Mark Garnier MP (former Minister for International Trade), leading British entrepeneur Dominic McVey and the Institute of Economic Affairs on 'Trading Places: Trade Partnerships with Emerging Economies Post-Brexit'. The discussed focused on the opportunities for the UK to trade in developing economies, how to attract more investment and create local jobs.
After attending the event The Rt Hon Penny Mordaunt MP, former Secretary of State for Defence and International Development, said:
