Conservative Prospective MP Theo Clarke has welcomed the Government's funding for additional local police.
Theo met with Kit Malthouse MP, Minister of State for Crime, Policing & Fire, to discuss the new government funding to recruit 20,000 additional police officers across the UK. This policy will see Staffordshire receiving 90 extra police officers.
Theo said:
"Since my selection, many residents have reached out to me to share their concerns about crime in their local area. I am delighted that the government have prioritised giving additional funding for the police. On the ground in Stafford, this will make a difference. Increased local policing capacity should be welcomed from all quarters and really does demonstrate that it is the Conservative Party that priorities keep residents and their communities safe"
