Multiple cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in Britain. As of the 28th February 2020, there are 17 confirmed cases of coronavirus in England and the UK Chief Medical Officers have raised the UK risk level from low to moderate. Given the numerous constituents that have contacted Theo Clarke MP about coronavirus, Ms Clarke feels it would be helpful to post some information and useful links on her website.
Ms Clarke is receiving regular updates from the Government and has met this week with The Rt Hon Matt Hancock MP, Secretary of State for Health, to discuss this matter. Ms Clarke wishes to emphasise the importance of people washing their hands thoroughly and regularly as well as taking sensible hygiene measures, such as using tissues if they need to sneeze.
If you suspect you may have contracted coronavirus please contact 111 for further assistance (do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital).
