Theo Clarke MP met with the Foreign Secretary, The Rt Hon Dominic Raab MP. Ms Clarke discussed ways to ensure the recent merger of DFID and FCO is a success, the UK’s prosperity agenda in Africa including Kenya, how the UK can continue to be a force for good and to input into the current review of ICAI (the Independent Commission for Aid Impact).
Theo Clarke MP stated that as a member of the International Development Select Committee and Chair of the Independent Commission on Aid Impact subcommittee in the House of Commons, she will continue to make the case that the aid budget must be properly scrutinised and that it should be effectively spent on behalf of British taxpayers to help tackle extreme poverty around the world.
