Theo Clarke MP for Stafford has held numerous meetings with Staffordshire residents throughout her constituency who have been affected by the M6. Following these discussions with her constituents Ms Clarke raised their concerns directly with The Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP, Secretary of State for Transport and she also held a meeting with Highways England. During her meeting with Highways England, Ms Clarke discussed the work being carried out on the M6 and the impact of road closures and diversion routes on people across Staffordshire. Therefore, Ms Clarke welcomes the Government’s announcement on smart motorways and she will continue to push for improvements for local residents.
