Stafford and its surrounding areas have been flood-prone for centuries. This is why I made tackling flooding one of my key priorities. We need to save lives, protect homes, and secure our local economy.
Theo Clarke MP hosted a roundtable to bring together the relevant agencies in Stafford responsible for tackling flooding, including the Environment Agency, Staffordshire County Council, Highways England and Severn Trent.
Theo Clarke MP for Stafford visited the Wolseley Centre with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and to hear about their work to protect wildlife in Stafford. Ms Clarke also discussed conservation, flood alleviation and the importance of protecting the natural world.
Speaking in the Chamber of the House of Commons, following recent visits to constituents affected by flooding, Theo Clarke MP, called for a Flood Control Centre in Stafford. Ms Clarke thanked emergency services for their hard work to help those affected by flooding in recent weeks.
